2 day camping trip 17th / 18th October 2015 exploring the Scenic Rim / QLD and NSW border.
From Burleigh Waters via Murwillumbah to Uki – nice coffee stop there – beautiful little country town not far from Mount Warning.
Via KYOGLE and the Summerland H’Way heading towards Brisbane.
Taking the LIONS ROAD north following the map with Points of Interest:
> Spiral Loop of railway and Lookout at Border Crossing
> Andrew Drynan Park with bushcamping facilities.

Via Rathdowney south to the school, then left into A93 towards Boonah.
After about 10km left into Upper Logan Rd towards Campsite Flanagan Reserve: Simple bushcamping with drinking water and kiosk – heaps of places with shade.
After a BBQ with a good campfire (can be bought there for $10 AUD) and a good rest exploring the Mount Barney NP with rest areas and trails – mostly difficult and taking all day.
Mt Barney Lodge has a beautiful campsite, costs Adults $16/night. Children $8/night.

Back to the Gold Coast via Hillview and Connection Rd into Lost World Valley.

From there heading north towards Beaudesert and back via A90 via Canungra.

There is a 4WD track from Kerry up the mountains to get to O’Reilly’s Rainforest Retreat.

Here the options from the Gold Coast or BNE to Tasmania and back.

Camping at Broken Heads, NSW on the long weekend in October 2015 with Maria.
80 km drive from Burleigh passing Byron Bay. This campsite is north of Lennox Heads, access road via M1 and then into Bangalow for a coffee heading to the ocean from there. Quiet and nice terraced campsite directly at the ocean. Beautiful trail to view the rocks of the Head.

Springbrook NP on 11th October 2015 with friends from Germany / most beautiful day with Best of all Lookout & Natural Bridge. Finally Tweed Gallery at Murwillumbah.
